Four Months Old

Yesterday I had a doctor appointment. It was my four month check up. I did really well. I weigh 14 lbs and am 24 1/4 inches long. That puts me in the 40th percentile. That means that I am bigger than 40% of the babies my age. Not bad for a little guy who started out at 3 1/2 lbs! I’m catching up!

I gave Dr. Beaty a little surprise when he checked my mouth. My gums were swollen! I’m getting teeth! Mommy suspected as much but Dr. Beaty confirmed it. Now maybe I’ll get to eat real food! Actually when I do a better job of holding my head up, Mommy can start feeding me cereal. Daddy promised me CoCo Puffs! Yummy!

The only bad thing about the doctor’s visit was the shots. I got three shots! And they hurt! It made for a rough evening and I was fussy a lot. But Daddy kept walking me around and it made me feel better. I like to go up and down the stairs. So Daddy gets a workout too! It’s good for both of us.
