Sleeping Through the Night

Written by Kevin on April 25, 2008 – 8:14 pm -

I made Mommy and Daddy very happy! I started sleeping through the night. . . kind of! I sleep for 7 or 8 hours now at night. So that means somebody only has to get up once during the night to feed me. Since I normally go to bed around 9:00pm , I wake up around 4:00am or 5:00am. Mommy and Daddy alternate who gets up to feed me. This way, one of them is getting a full night’s sleep.

Right On Schedule

Written by Kevin on April 14, 2008 – 8:13 pm -

I’m a big boy. I can lift my head up all by myself. Because I was so early, Mommy and Daddy volunteered me to be in the Regional Developmental Follow-Up Project. I don’t know what any of those words mean but a nurse comes to our house to see how I am developing and what I can do. And hopefully what she observes can be used to help other little babies like me.

So far I smile at Mommy and Daddy (mostly Daddy!), make baby noises when they talk to me, follow them really well with my eyes when they move around the room and I can lift my head up while I’m on my tummy.

I’m pretty much right on schedule for doing things that a normal 3 to 4 month baby should do.

No More Monitor!

Written by Kevin on April 12, 2008 – 8:11 pm -

I’m high tech now. Yesterday I went wireless! While we were at Uncle Steve and Aunt Priscilla’s Mommy called my doctor to see if he had the results from the last time they downloaded information from my monitor. They had the results and everything looked good! I didn’t stop breathing at all or have any problems with my heart slowing down. So the doctor said that I didn’t need the monitor anymore. Yeah!

Mommy barely hung up the phone before she had me all unattached. Mommy and Daddy were really happy. I was happy too. Now they can pick me up and take me where ever they want without having to drag the monitor along. It makes it so much easier for them!

Road Trip 2!

Written by Kevin on April 11, 2008 – 8:10 pm -

We got to go to Uncle Steve and Aunt Priscilla’s again! Yeah! It’s always fun there. Daddy went to hear some lectures at Trinity International University and also to attend a debate. He says he learned a lot. But he doesn’t look any smarter to me. Mommy and I hung out together at Uncle Steve’s and Aunt Priscilla’s house.

It rained almost all weekend but on Wednesday, Aunt Pris, Mommy, me and Luke’s dog Titan went for a walk. Titan was excited too! I almost got clothes-lined by his leash a couple of times!

My cousin Erin and her boyfriend Manny came over just so they could see me. Erin likes to hold me. I didn’t think she would ever give me back to my Mommy! Uncle Mark came all the way from Nebraska to see me! While he was there he attended the lectures and debate with Daddy and Uncle Steve. I wish that my cousins Katelyn and Todd could have come with their Daddy–they were jealous that Uncle Mark got to hold me and they didn’t.

Playtime!

Written by Kevin on April 8, 2008 – 8:09 pm -

I like to play. And I’m really good at playing by myself. Mommy and Daddy appreciate this. It allows them to get things done around the house. Mommy more than Daddy! They will lay me on the floor or on my little play gym and I kick my legs, wave my arms and smile.

The best is when they put me in my crib with my fish. I love my fish mobile. I like to talk to the fish. And I get excited whenever I see them.

The Car Seat

Written by Kevin on April 6, 2008 – 8:08 pm -

Driving wears me out! Even though I don’t have to drive. Mommy and Daddy put me in the car seat every time we go somewhere even though I asked to sit up front where I can see better. I usually cry when they first put me in it, but I like the movement of the car so by the time we are headed down the road I’m happy and shortly thereafter I fall asleep. Sometimes I will stay asleep in my car seat even after we stop. Like today, when we got home from church I stayed asleep for 20 minutes.

I also like my stroller. I really like when Daddy pushes it fast. We don’t do that much because he is out of shape. Yesterday, we went to the Shoppes at Grand Prairie and Daddy and Mommy pushed me around and I got to see lots of new stuff. Grandma Mathewson met us there and we got to go eat at FlatTop Grill. Come to think of it, I didn’t get any noodles! I just drank my same old formula. Oh well, someday. . .
